HALF OF A YELLOW SUN by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie which is loosely based on the Nigerian civil war, laced with themes of love and betrayal. It caused controversy on its publication, winning the Women’s Prize for Fiction but being banned in America.

FRANKIE by Graham Norton which got a raft of excellent reviews. We will touch on this towards the end of the session for those who have had enough reading time to devour it.

We have a Whatsapp group you can join and we meet regularly on the last Tuesday evening of each month.

How can I subscribe to the BCA?

The committee members and helpers of the BCA are all local people who work for the community on a voluntary basis. However, in order to keep things running smoothly, there are expenses which need to be paid (printing, postage, stationery etc); and financial support to community events.
