Summer Walk – Compton

Time:
–
Calendar:

The walk will start at Watts Gallery where there is ample parking. We will meet at the entrance to the Visitor’s Centre at 10.00 am. The morning walk will visit the Watt’s Chapel, St Nicholas Church in Compton (where I will arrange a guide), and then Eastbury Manor (only looking at the outside), a very grand late Victorian mansion designed by Ewan Christian in 1874, before returning to the Watts Gallery Café for lunch. For those interested, in the afternoon, we could visit Watts Gallery. The entrance fee costs £18 per person and includes entry to the Watts Gallery, the William De Morgan and Sculpture Gallery, The Watts Contemporary Gallery and “Limnerslease” – the artist’s home and the surrounding grounds. https://www.wattsgallery.org.uk/visit
